This is a lovely piece of maritime history in the form of a set of 1920s Lockie's Marine Engineers Drawing And Indicator Diagram Scales in Original box: measuring 32.5cm x 3.7cm.
The set comprises seven varnished cardboard drawing and indicator diagram scales by John Lockie, Leith.
The scales numbered 1-5 are regular imperial scales of various inches to the foot including:-
- Full Size and Half Size
- 1 1/2 & 3 inches to 1 foot
- 4 inches and 2 inches to 1 foot
- 1/2inch & 1 inch to 1 foot
- 3/4 inch and 3/8 inch to 1 foot
The other two scales are not numbered:-
- indicator diagram scale giving figures for pounds to 1 inch
- Metric ruler
