1940s CV67 Klystron Radar System Local Oscillator In Original Box

This strange looking device is a 1940s CV67 Klystron Radar System Local Oscillator, as used in the WW2 Lancaster Bomber H2S MKII and ASV MKIII Radar Systems.

In its original box, it is marked CV67, G26415, and with the Air Ministry arrow. It has an 8 pin connector and a top cap with black bakelite ends.

This type of 10cm reflex Klystron oscillator replaced the Sutton tube type oscillators used in early WW2, and was designed by EMI in 1941.

They were used primarily in the Indicator Unit 162 10QB/6010: see schematics.

A rare piece of radar history!
