Vintage Chrome Flexible / Gooseneck Car Rally Map Navigation Light / Reading Lamp

We have available a, preowned and working, Vintage Chrome Flexible / Gooseneck Car Rally Map Navigation Light / Reading Lamp. In fairly good used cosmetic condition with some surface blemishes.

Approximate Size: Total length: 66cm (~26”)

We're not sure who made this particular example but it comprises a long flexible ferrous chrome hose with a wired connector at one end. The head of the lamp is encased with a non-ferrous metal hood with glass over the bulb which has crazed. 

The lamp requires a 12v supply. I don't know what type of bulb has it takes but it cannot be changed very easily as it is a sealed unit. There is no on/off switch on the unit.

Car rally navigators use these flexible lamps to read maps when rallying at night time but they can be converted to make bed side reading lights, too!
