1930s Metal And Wood Internal Door / Butler Bell Ringer For Spares / Repairs

This unusual looking piece of antique home decor is an electric 1930s Metal And Wood Internal Door / Butler Bell Ringer For Spares / Repairs. It is missing a wood cover and wiring, and is not in working condition.

Approximate Measurements:

• Width of Base: 9cm

• Height: ~8cm (from the base to the tip of the gong)
• Width of gong- ~6 cm

• Length~ 16cm

The bell striker and sounder are made from ferrous metal seated on a wood base. The metal is pretty rusty but I haven't been tempted to polish it as some people prefer to see the patina. The wood has some surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use.

There are no maker's marks.

A nice piece of architectural salvage which needs someone to give it some care and attention.
