Vintage Yellow and Black Scoop Head Cat Pottery Vase By Schmider

A very cute and kitsch 1950s/60s Vintage Yellow and Black Scoop Head Cat Pottery Vase By Schmider. Designed by Anneliese Beckh and catalogued as Tigris No. 3140.

In fairly good condition with each ear having very slight nibbles at the points and a few flecks of black paint missing from the face. These are not really visible from the front when displayed. The price has been adjusted as a consequence.

As with many if the cats made by Schmider in this era, there is no maker's mark on the base.

A lovely novelty small vase which looks great on a mantelpiece and has always proved to be a talking point with visitors. I've owned it for several years but have recently acquired a matching pair so, sadly, I have decided to let this one go to a new home...
