Vintage Swiss Hand Carved Wood Figurine Of A Yodelling Man And Woman Folk Art Souvenirs 

These are very cute Original Vintage Swiss Hand Carved Wood Figurines Of A Yodelling Man And Woman Folk Art Souvenirs, possibly made by Anri or Dobin.

In pretty good condition with some some surface blemishes and discolouration, they only weigh 15g each and are pretty small. The male has a small chip underneath the brim of his hat.

Approximate Size WHD: 

• Boy:  3.7 x 8 x 3.5 cm
• Girl:  3.7 x 8 x 2.5 cm

Dating to the 1960s/70s, they were bought as a souvenir by a family member after an extended trip to Switzerland.

Rustically carved / whittled, the figures are caricatures of traditionally dressed mountain people yodelling away on their walk foraging for wood, flowers or food.

The dark wood has been lightly coloured with dye which looks stronger in the images than in reality. There are no makers marks.

The photos were taken with/without flash hence the colour differences. The actual colour is much darker.

A nice piece of treen for the collector!
