An Imperial Chemical Industries Vintage ICI Testa Cross Colour Puzzle In Its Original Box With Instructions.

Approximate Box Size: 6 x 6 x 2cm

Dating to the 1920s/30s, it is in very good condition for its age.  There is some discolouration, and biro marks on the box. A lovely little piece of nostalgia perfect as a desk toy!

There are seven tiles with three colours and two tiles with two colours, which are placed on the provided 5 x 5 square. Arrange the 9 coloured pieces on the square so that no two colours are alike in any column or row.

Someone has also handwritten a crib 'cheat sheet,' which I've not photographed...

British Made as merchandising for ICI Dyestuffs Group, Manchester, it comprises a wood composite with paper colours stuck on the surface. The colours were probably made using the dyestuffs manufactured by ICI.
