Vintage Brass Industrial Light Switch With Dark Blue Cast Iron Case

For all collectors of Industrial homewares or Architectural salvage, we have a Vintage Brass Industrial Light Switch With Dark Blue Cast Iron Case, which was supposed to protect the switch when used in an industrial setting.

The box is made from dark blue coated cast iron surrounding a brass switch with bakelite back. It is in fair vintage condition. There are quite a few surface scuffs and signs of rust, especially on the rear of the case, but we quite like the patina and hence have not attempted to polish it.

Approximate Size: WHD: 7.8 x 7.8 x 4 cm (excluding the toggle switch and rear screws)

The switch is not up to current IEE regulations. It has not been restored or tested, and is sold as a collector’s item only.

I can't find a maker's mark but it was probably made by Crabtree in the UK.
