Royal Doulton Oliver Twist Square 6 Inch Side Plate D5833

A lovely, characterful, Vintage 1940 Royal Doulton Oliver Twist Square 6 Inch Side Plate D5833 version of the Charles Dickens collectors’ plates or Dickensware.

Beautifully hand painted and embossed with ‘The Artful Dodger’ and ‘Oliver Twist: two of the main characters from Charles Dickens’ ‘Oliver Twist.’

The plate is in very good condition with vibrant colours, no chips, cracks or restoration. It does have manufacturing defects including bubbles and pinholes. There is also some crazing and slight discolouration.

The maker’s mark shows it was made in 1940.
