This is a Set of 8 Vintage Murphy Radio Metal Letterpress Printing Plates which come in the original envelope with accompanying letter from Murphy radio Limited, Radio and Electrical Manufacturers, Broadwater Road, Welwyn Garden City, Herts. UK

A little slice of history, dating to April 1950, these letterhead printing plates were sent to retailers and dealers by Murphy Radio to create their own marketing material. They refer to them as 'Illustration blocks' and were produced for different layouts. This particular set was produced for Murphy branded Radios/Wireless including the:-

A122, A128, A272, U144, U128, U102

In this case, the purchaser was:-

Messrs. Shepperson Bros, Market Place, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

Four of the 8-piece set are in unused condition and the other four have been used.
