1960s Rabone Chesterman 1626 Wood & Brass 9 Inch Spirit Level

This beautiful vintage tool is a 1960s Rabone Chesterman 1626 Wood & Brass 9 Inch Spirit Level. It can be used both horizontally and vertically. 

A much loved and well used spirit level with a few scuffs, scratches and stains: it has a wonderful patina. Dating to the 1960s/70s, it belonged to a draughting Engineer. 

Approximate Size (WHD): 22.8 (9") x 3.6 x 1.8 cm 

It was made in England by Rabone Chesterman; a company formed from the merger of John Rabone and sons, of Hockley Abbey Works, Birmingham, and James Chesterman & Co toolmakers of Sheffield. A manufacturer of high quality spirit levels, rulers and measures.
