1930s Royal Doulton Dickens Ware Mr Squeers 7.5 Inch Side Plate. Pattern Number D2973

The plate is beautifully printed with a street scene including Mr Squeers from Charles Dickens' Nicholas Nickleby.

In fair condition with vibrant colours and no chips or restoration. The dish does have significant crazing and discolouration, and a couple of hairline cracks mainly noticeable on the base. Other manufacturing defects including bubbles and black marks in the glaze. 

The base is marked with the Royal Doulton special Dickens Ware stamp, the pattern number D2973, and the character name, Mr Squeers.
