1930s Brass And Wood Internal Telephone / Door  Bell Ringer Box In Working Condition

This lovely looking piece of antique home decor is a 1930s Brass And Wood Internal Telephone / Door  Bell Ringer Box In Working Condition: (tested on the bench at low voltage D.C, it would need wiring by an electrician to make it work as an internal bell).

Approximate Measurements:

• Width of Base: 11.6cm
  
• Height: ~21cm (from the base to the tip of the gong)
• Diameter of gong- ~7.4 cm
  
• Depth~ 6.4cm

The large bell and sounder are made from brass and the internal bell mechanism fits inside a wooden surround.  I haven't been tempted to polish it as some people prefer to see the patina. The wood has some surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use.

There are no maker's marks.
