1960s Military Type 16A Bakelite Microphone Hand Set 

This wonderful looking piece of vintage militaria is a used 1960s Military Type 16A Bakelite Microphone Hand Set.

In fairly good cosmetic condition, with surface scuffs/blemishes commensurate with age and storage. 

A hand-held carbon microphone with push-to-talk button. Used with British military transmitters. Forums suggest that it will work with the 18 set, 62 set and the remote units of the 22 set, but I am unable to confirm this. 

Made from black bakelite and stamped with Microphone Hand No.16A on the mouthpiece. It doesn't have a plug.

A 'see-saw' on/off switch is mounted on the side.
