1950s Royal Doulton Collectible Plate D6302 Roger Solem EL Cobler

A lovely, comic, 1950s Royal Doulton Collectible Plate D6302 Roger Solem EL Cobler (or Roger Solemel, Cobbler)  ‘Old English Scenes’ with a green trim border.
A wonderfully evocative image of a Cobbler surrounded by villagers, shoes, a cat and dogs in Ye Olde England, being shown a sole of a shoe needing repair by a customer.

It is in very good condition, with no restoration work, cracks or chips. There is slight crazing.

Approximate Plate Diameter – 26.6cm (10 1/2 inch)

This plate makes a wonderful piece of Wall Art (with suitable hanger- not included), as well as being very collectible.

The Roger Solem El Cobler plate was first introduced in 1927-1942 and then reissued by Royal Doulton 1949-1967.
