Vintage TR10056 UHF Standby Transmitter Receiver Radio ARI 23057

This valve based RAF Cockpit Vintage TR10056 UHF Standby Transmitter Receiver Radio ARI 23057 dates to about the 1960s.

It is purported to have been used in cold war jets such as the Hawker Hunter for radio communications between the aircraft and the ground. 

A 2-channel, 24 volt, valve standby radio set, the TR10056 was manufactured between 1962 and 1972, and had a rotary inverter to generate the HT.

The unit is in fairly good cosmetic condition. It does have surface scuffs/scratches and blemishes commensurate with age, use and storage. 

The unit has not been tested and is being sold as a collectible for display only.

The control unit has the following markings:-
