Vintage Datong FL-2 Multi Mode External Audio Signal Filter 

This small device is Vintage Datong FL-2 Multi Mode External Audio Signal Filter. It was designed for use with amateur radio, shortwave receivers and scanners.

Made in the UK, the Datong FL2 contains the same filters as the Datong Model FL-3 but without an automatic notch filter.

In pretty good cosmetic condition with some surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use. 

The FL-2 was designed to improve the reception of SSB, CW, RTTY and AM signals in interference conditions.

It comprises a manual notch filter and adjustable low/high pass filters, a 3.5 mm socket for the power connector (8 - 20 Volts DC), a headphone jack, and three phono sockets.

There are a series of eight buttons allowing selection of the following operating modes:
Power on/off

RTTY
SSB + Peak
SSB
SSB + NOTCH
CW
CW(2)
