By appointment Toy Makers to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

This proves that the globe was made post 1952 when Elizabeth, the Queen Consort to King George VI, became ‘The Queen Mother’ on the accession of her daughter, Queen Elizabeth II, to the throne.

A real time capsule the globe depicts, amongst other pre-independence countries, the federations of French West Africa (Afrique Occidental Française) and the Belgian Congo; both of which broke up in 1960.  This dates the globe to between 1952 and 1960.
