1973 Tissot Automatic Navigator T12 Chronograph Stainless Steel
This 1973 Tissot Automatic Navigator T12 Chronograph Stainless Steel Watch, with a 24-Hour Dial, is in extremely good working condition. With its original Tissot Gay Frères bracelet.
The watch has been recently (June 19) serviced by a well regarded horologist. The watch is ready to wear and enjoy for many years to come.
Cosmetically, the case & bracelet has numerous micro-scratches when closely examined under a loupe. That said, the watch presents superbly for a forty year old watch. The outer cardboard box is scuffed. The pages are loose in the original guarantee.
As per most vintage watches, the original water resistance rating has not been verified and we would not recommend that this watch is exposed to water.
Galleon on the rear of the case:
This is a rare variant of the famed Tissot T12 as it has a 24-hour dial. 24-hour dials became in vogue following the Gemini programme, where Scott Carpenter wore the Breitling Cosmonaute; itself having a 24-hour dial.
The combination of the round cushioned styled case and the 24-hour dial maker an unbeatable stylish statement of a wristwatch. The watch comes complete with its G.F Tissot bracelet, the original box, and the original guarantee and world service booklet.
