1970s Large Denby Art Pottery Vase Glyn Colledge Glynbourne Ware
This is a beautiful, hand painted, 1970s Large Denby Art Pottery Vase Glyn Colledge Glynbourne Ware.
Who wouldn’t want a statement piece Denby Pottery Glynbourne stoneware vase designed by the famous Denby potter, Glyn Colledge. It comprises a lipped neck with large stylised leaves in shades of green over a white glaze. The vase is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration.
The Glynbourne range was introduced in the 1960s. Initially, a back mark, in the form of Colledge’s signature, was impressed in the stone but this caused problems on firing. This was then superseded by an applied painted signature and then, by the 1970s, the signature was removed altogether.
