1970s Lancaster Vitramic Hornsea Pottery Accord Mug

I love the colour way of this 1970s Lancaster Vitramic Hornsea Pottery Accord Mug. It is grey with a pink band at the top of the mug. I’ve not seen another for a very long time!

The Lancaster Vitramic range was only produced for 12 years when Hornsea, based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, opened a second factory in Lancaster in 1974 which only lasted 12 years, winning several design awards in its short existence. The most famous being the brown vitramic design, known as ‘contrast.’
