1960s Gaskell & Chambers Pewter 1/5 Gill Drinks Measure
This is a 1960s Gaskell & Chambers Pewter 1/5 Gill Drinks Measure.
It is marked on the rim with
- a Crown and EIIR 668
- 4 66
This seems to indicate that it was made in 1966 during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
It is in good vintage condition but has surface scratches. I haven’t attempted to polish it as some people prefer to do this themselves. It would make a lovely gift to a collector or as a retirement/ thank you present.
- Measures approximately
- 6cm (2.4″) width: handle to edge of rim
- 4.5cm (1.6″) base diameter
- 4.7cm (1.9″) in height
- 1/5 Gill (UK measure)
- Gaskell & Chambers, Birmingham.
- Made in England
