Vintage Royal Worcester Evesham Gold 2 Pint Storage Jar/Marmite Pot/Cooking Pot
Vintage Royal Worcester Evesham Gold 2 Pint Storage Jar/ Marmite Pot/ Bean Pot
This is a lovely example of a Vintage Royal Worcester Evesham Gold 2 Pint Storage Jar/Marmite Pot/Cooking Pot.
This particular piece was 'Made in England' and dates to the 1970s. A marmite (pronounced Mar-Meet not Mar-Myte as in the 'love it-hate it' yeast spread) is a type of French cooking pot used for slow cooking/braising, soups and stews.
The Evesham range features assorted fruit and corn cob still-life designs that look virtually lifelike. These designs are beautifully contrasted against a white background and striking gold trim! The Evesham range was originally designed by Prof. Robert Baker, R V Ruyckevelt & the Worcester design team in 1962.
We have one remaining piece in stock, which belonged to my late Mum-in-law.
