Vintage Olympus Pearlcorder R905 Microcasette Recorder With RA1 AM Tuner

This amazing pocket size device is a Vintage Olympus Pearlcorder R905 Microcasette Recorder With RA1 AM Tuner. Serial no. 149239 made by the Olympus Optical Co. Ltd, Japan. Possibly dates to the 1980s.

Approximate Size (WHD): 14 x 6.3 x 2.2 cm 

In fairly good cosmetic condition with some scuffs and blemishes, particularly on the perspex cassette lid. It comes without a box or instructions, and seems to be partially working.

There is a poor recording on the microcassette, (running at 24cm/s), which appears to have been recorded in the 1990s from the tiny, dockable, RA1 AM radio which slides on to the top of the tape recorder body. The radio is giving some 'squelch' but I've not yet been able to pick up a radio station (at least during the day). 

Requires 2 x 1.5 Volt 'AA' Batteries, not supplied due to the difficulty in shipping.

Originally used for dictation / stenography, this is a great little piece of vintage tech!
