Vintage Military Angle Head GEC TL-122 Style Torch With Signalling Flash Button And Filters 

A very nice Vintage Military Angle Head GEC TL-122 Style Torch With Signalling Flash Button And Filters.  In good condition with a few surface scuffs and marks. The filters are slightly creased from storage in the base compartment.

Similar design to the TL-122 Flashlights, designed and used by the US and Allies military in WW2, this one was made by GEC, in the UK, based on the TL-122C and made from brown plastic with brass fittings. We believe it dates from the end of WW2 to the early 1950s.

• Brass slide on/off switch with flash button for signalling
• Red and Orange plastic transparent lens filters fit in a screw-on cap at the end of the battery compartment
• The torch takes two 'D' cell/batteries, which are not included due to the difficulties with shipping any item containing batteries, and it is also pretty heavy with the batteries!
• Marked in a circle on the side with the following:-
  • 6230 105034 (Stores Reference number), where 6230 is the reference number for lamps, lighting, torches and accessories. This form of 10-digit number was used in the UK Post WW2 before the introduction of  standardised 13-digit NATO stock numbers)
