Sadler

In 1882, James Sadler established his pottery at Burslem, Staffordshire, UK, having been originally called Sadler & Co.

They are best known for their ‘Rockingham Brown’ or ‘Brown Betty’ Earthenware and novelty shaped teapots. The company survived in the Sadler’s family’s hands until 2000, when it went into receivership. Churchill China bought the brand, designs and patterns when the factory closed.
