The 2-prong probe is held against the test surface e.g. timber, brick or plaster and the moisture level read from the meter.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn very good condition, it hasn't been tested as the original B123 batteries supplied with the meter are, not surprisingly given their age, flat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe instrument required three x 30v B123 (A413) Ever Ready Batteries which have\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e contacts on each end.
