It is made from non-magnetic aluminium with a pale green coating. Although I have called it a miner's torch, it may have been made for use on a ship.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eManufactured by Shimwell Alexander, of 13 Bell Street, London, whom were well known manufacturers of military, industrial and marine electrical accessories; particularly lighting.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe torch looks to have never been used and is in excellent condition. Any defects are minimal and commensurate with length of time spent in storage (dates to, approximately, the 1950s-60s).\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe torch switches on near the top via the large chrome coloured switch.
