It has a heavy steel base plate and an aluminium cover. The cover is often missing so this is a nice find; although it does have some paint missing. It also has a 1\/4 inch jack plug attached.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe key was invented by Joseph Junker, a German Naval Radio Officer in World War I, and patented in 1920. Several modifications were made to the key over the years, (it was made until 1993), but the original design has stood the test of time.
