The chrome has slightly pitted with age.

Being picky, there are a few scuffs/blemishes on the fabric with some pale black stains on the front. I have gently cleaned the stains with water only and some of the black did come off. A more stringent clean may improve their appearance further but I'll leave that to its new owner as I don't want to risk rubbing off the blue dye ...

The rexine is intact but loose and discoloured in places, particularly at the edges of the handle and on the front near the grille.

Unlike some of the later Hackers presented for sale, the printed top plate has unmarred print and is free from significant scratching all of which presents a well cared for, scarce, vintage radio.

Specification

Portable Hacker Herald Radio model RP37A with 13 transistors

Batteries/ Cells - requires 2x 9v (PP9) batteries.
