I'm not sure what battery type was used and have been unable to test it or establish which parts of the internal mechanism are missing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bullseye glass, approximately 4cm in diameter, has a bulb holder under the lid. Opening the hinged metal base, imprinted \u003cem\u003eEver Ready\u003c\/em\u003e, reveals the battery compartment.
