{"product_id":"stc-4017c-bbc-microphone-serial-no-3422-in-its-original-wooden-box","title":"STC 4017C BBC Microphone Serial No. 3422 In Its Original Wooden Box","description":"\u003ch1\u003eSTC 4017C BBC Microphone Serial No. 3422 In Its Original Wooden Box\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis STC 4017C BBC Microphone Serial No. 3422 In Its Original Wooden Box is a fairly good example of an iconic piece of BBC Broadcasting history. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eMeasures 1.8 Ohms, via a multimeter, across the connectors.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular moving coil brass microphone, with screw terminals, is in fair cosmetic condition. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe silk screen has a few holes and is slightly frayed but could be replaced.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe microphone looks like it has been dropped, resulting in a dent in the top of the brass case and broken bakelite near the rear connectors.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe grey\/blue wood case is in good condition with surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNevertheless, this microphone is still pretty rare and the price has been adjusted to account for the defects.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe STC 4017 moving coil microphone was first introduced by the Standard Telephone Company and BBC in 1938.
