It is based on the ‘Dan Dare’ version produced by Merit in 1955 but updated to commemorate the Moon landing in 1969.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese are not radio based walkie talkies but 'Space' themed pretend play intercoms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBox Dimensions:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHeight: 5cm\u003cbr\u003eLength: 24.5cm\u003cbr\u003eWidth: 15cm\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA fairly expensive toy when first released, and increasingly difficult to find in such good cosmetic condition. Based on the principle of sound waves passing through a cord held taut between two elements (e.g. paper cups or tin cans with a piece of string): there are no electronics in this toy! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt comprises two blue and red plastic Space Patrol Walkie Talkies, and the original box with instructions printed in different languages on the rear and the sides of the base.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe box is worn with tears in the corners and in the lid.
