The outer blue box is slightly scuffed from years of storage, and the inside fabric slightly stained. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs with all the Decca London series, this cartridge has three connecting pins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is marked with:-\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe Serial Number SG2-1059\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eBrit Pat 856829\/856997 (these are Decca GB patents dating to 1957 and 1958 respectively)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the 1960s, Decca commenced production of a series of stereo cartridges and heads that could also be used with another manufacturer's pick up arm\/tone arm. The series commenced with the Mark IV cartridge, and was followed by the London Blue, with a reduced cartridge mass and spherical stylus, in 1974. Further improvements were made with the introduction of the London Maroon with spherical stylus and the London Gold with an elliptical stylus.
