This strange looking device is a 1940s CV67 Klystron Radar Local Oscillator, as used in the WW2 Lancaster Bomber H2S MKII and ASV MKIII Radar Systems.

Specification

This type of 10cm reflex Klystron oscillator replaced the Sutton tube type oscillators (CV35) used in early WW2, and was designed by EMI in 1941. They were used primarily in the Indicator Unit 162 10QB/6010: see schematics.
