Antique Brass Post Office Pattern Galvanometer Case
This is an Antique Brass Post Office Pattern Galvanometer Case, which we believe dates to the late 19th /early 20th Century. The later cases, of a similar design, were usually made from wood.
In fair condition with pitting, scuffs and scratches on the glass and brass. The back and base of the case have the remains of a brown coating, which is pitted but could probably be removed to restore it back to brass. We've left it with the original patina as this is what some customers prefer.
The case does not contain an instrument but the back can be removed in order to fit a suitable galvanometer.
