The wireless set no.19 (WS19) supply unit was made to accompany the Mobile WS19 radio transceiver favoured by Allied armoured troops during WW2. Designed by the Signals Experimental Establishment (British War Office) in conjunction with Pye Radio but [this particular supply unit] was manufactured in Canada by the Canadian General Electric Co. Ltd.

Interestingly, the front panel uses both English and Cyrillic lettering as Canada also supplied their version of WS19 to the Soviet army.

A really interesting piece of military radio communication history!
