1970s Garrard Gold Plated Manual Wind Watch

This high quality, 1970s Garrard Gold Plated Manual Wind Watch has 17 Jewels and the ETA 2391 Movement. Made by the, then, British Crown Jeweller, Asprey & Garrard, it is in very good condition.

Unboxed, but comes with a brand new dark brown leather strap. It does have some superficial surface scuffs/scratches on the case, which are only visible on close inspection and commensurate with age and use.

I have taken photos with and without flash. Some of the marks on the glass are due to the lighting conditions and are not scratches.

The case is gold plated/stainless steel and is inscribed:

Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd. Presented to J.R.C Ridley. 20 years service. 1975.

A beautiful slim-line watch that has a timeless design which can be worn by anyone. It also has an enviable creative pedigree with the Garrard brand name.

Formally Asprey and Garrard, they were world famous producers of some of the most beautiful jewellery commissioned by the British and other Royal Families; including the iconic sapphire and diamond cluster engagement ring worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, and Catherine, (Kate Middleton), now Princess of Wales.

(Asprey and Garrard demerged in 2002 and are both still highly regarded jewellers to the affluent and famous world-wide).

NB: The photographs have been taken with and without flash hence the differences in colour
