Vintage Crabtree Brass / White Ceramic British Toggle Light Switch With Square Base
For all collectors of period homewares or Architectural salvage, we have a genuine Vintage Crabtree Brass / White Ceramic British Toggle Light Switch With Square Base. It dates to about the 1930s.
The face is circle-shaped brass and the back is white square-shaped vitreous ceramic/porcelain. A very unusual design.

It is in reasonably good vintage condition. There are scuffs on the surface, and the brass is discoloured/pitted but may benefit from a careful polish.
The switch is not up to current IEE regulations. It has not been restored or tested, and is sold as a collector’s item only.
The brand, Crabtree, still exists today as one of the brands manufactured by ‘Electrium:’ one of the UK’s leading electrical groups and a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Holdings plc since 2006.
