1950s Price Kensington PK Cottage Ware Biscuit Barrel With Lid And Basket Handle

This is a lovely kitsch 1950s Price Kensington PK Cottage Ware Biscuit Barrel With Lid And Basket Handle, manufactured in Staffordshire, England.

It is impressed on the base with Made in England, and (very faintly), with ‘Ye Olde Cottage Ware,’ which describes it perfectly as it is the archetypical English cottage with country cottage flowers and thatched roof.

A wonderful collector’s item or statement piece on your afternoon tea tray!

It is in fairly good condition, with no restoration work, cracks or chips. There is some age related crazing and staining, particularly on one corner of the base.

The maker’s mark on the base was used by Price Brothers from the 1950s.

Maximum Approximate Dimensions:

Base Width: 10.6cm
Base Depth: 10.8cm
Height (including lid): 14cm
Length (Handle to spout): 17cm
