1940s Kensington Ware Blue Classic Model 24 Jug

This is a lovely kitsch Art Deco 1940s Kensington Ware Blue Classic Model 24 Jug. Made by Price Kensington PK Burslem and manufactured in Staffordshire, England. It has an unusual use of geometry and texture in its design, with a large circular middle, square handle/spout and dimpled textured surface.

Maximum Approximate Dimensions:

Base Diameter: 9.2cm
Height: 17.5cm
Width from spout to end of handle: 17.5cm

It is impressed on the base with:-

Made in England
Classic
24
PKB
Staffordshire Knot Logo
Kensington Ware

A wonderful collector’s item or statement piece for your kitchen window! I would use if as a flower vase.

It is in fairly good condition, with no restoration work, cracks or chips. There is a small amount of age related crazing and some yellow staining on the inside and around the body. The jug does have manufacturing defects e.g. paint misses and glazing marks.

The maker’s mark on the base was used by Price Brothers from 1934-1961.
