A lovely 1952 Royal Doulton Rustic England Rectangular Scalloped Sandwich Dish D6297. "Rustic England' is one of a Charles Noke designed series ware patterns and was made from 1936 to 1960.
The scalloped edge dish is beautifully printed with a country scene of a blacksmith, and is in very good condition with vibrant colours and no chips, cracks or restoration. It does have small manufacturing defects including bubbles and black marks in the glaze. There is also some crazing.
The base is marked with the Royal Doulton post 1930s back stamp, the pattern number D6297, (which dates to 1952), and Rustic England.
