Vintage Set Of Six Boxed Bakelite / Catalin Small Napkin Rings
This Vintage Set Of Six Boxed Bakelite / Catalin Small Napkin Rings are an interesting design, and the perfect colours for an Afternoon Tea Table / Dinner Party / Christmas table!
The six napkin rings are all made from mottled Catalin and range in colour from butterscotch through to blood orange and green. The internal diameter is the same for all the rings, (~1" and suitable for only small or thin napkins), but they do vary slightly in thickness and height.

External diameter including ribbed edge: 3.5 cm
Height: nominally 1.5 cm
They are quite lightweight with ribbed edges. In pretty good condition with some scuffs and surface blemishes commensurate with age and use. They date to the 1930s/40s.
They even come with their original cute cardboard box, (11 x 4.6 x 4 cm), which is discoloured and scuffed but intact. There is no discernible maker's mark.
Being such a small size, these rings were probably designed for napkins used underneath side plates or tea saucers accompanying the Afternoon tea tray.
