1930s Model 2028 Philips Bakelite Art Deco Loudspeaker

This is a very rare 1930s Model 2028 Philips Bakelite Art Deco Radio Loudspeaker.

It was made by Philips of Eindhoven, Netherlands and is a magnetic Radio loudspeaker made to accompany a Bakelite Art Deco radio e.g a Philips 720A: from the days when radios didn't have an internal loudspeaker.

Approximate Size (WHD): 34.5 x 38.0 x 14.5 cm

The loudspeaker is in original condition, has not been tested, and needs some restoration:-

• There is a crack in the Bakelite
• The back of the speaker needs repairing (NB: only 3 holes were used from new, the other 3 were surplus to requirements)
• The front loudspeaker cloth is fragile and is torn but could be easily replaced
• It needs rewiring
• There may be other issues which I've not yet found

With some care and attention, this loudspeaker would make a fantastic addition to a radio collection. The price has been adjusted to account for its condition.
