Mullard Antiques and Collectibles: and the WEEE Directive

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations have recently been introduced by the UK government in order to reduce the amount of electrical items due to end of life disposal reaching landfill and encourage recycling and re-use of these products using the best available practices. Electrical goods are currently the fastest growing waste stream within the UK, where over 75% of electrical goods are disposed of as landfill  even though many of these goods may be economically repaired or recycled. Ideally, residual WEEE should be disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. When disposing of or recycling your old WEEE, Mullard Antiques and Collectibles respectfully request that you do so in accordance with local existing legislation  which is available from your local authority or by reference to www.recycle-more.co.uk.
