1930s Ediswan Brass/ Porcelain British Light Switch
For all collectors of period homewares or Architectural salvage, we have a genuine 1930s Ediswan Brass/ Porcelain British Light Switch.
The face is brass and the back is ceramic.
It is in reasonable vintage condition. There are a few scuffs on the surface and the brass would benefit from a careful polish.
The switch is not up to current IEE regulations. It has not been restored or tested, and is sold as a collector’s item only.

The Edison and Swan Electric Light Company Limited was an English manufacturer of incandescent lamp bulbs and other electrical goods. It was formed in 1883 with the name Edison & Swan United Electric Light Company with the merger of the Swan United Electric Company and the Edison Electric Light Company.
The company used the brand names Ediswan and Mazda, the latter was mainly used for their range of thermionic valves/ vacuum tubes.
Ediswan eventually became part of, the perhaps better known, Siemens.
