1950s Vintage Everhot Teapot, Milk Jug, Sugar Bowl by Perry, Bevan & Co.

We have on sale a three- piece 1950s Vintage Everhot Teapot, Milk Jug, Sugar Bowl. At the time these were a very innovative design negating the need for the lovely knitted or crocheted tea cosy!

The teapot comprises a felt-lined chrome plated insulating casing, with a built-in lid. This particular teapot also has a separate tea strainer, that sits inside the pot, so that you can add the tea leaves directly to the pot.

The pots are all earthenware with a chrome casing. They were manufactured by Perry, Bevan and Co. Birmingham, UK.

The dimensions quoted are the approximate maximum dimensions.

The set comprises the following:-

  1. Ever-Hot Teapot Made in England Patent No. 523942 Reg. No 858886
    • Height 14cm (lid to base)
    • Width 25cm (handle to spout)
    • Base diameter 16cm
    • Fair used condition: slight chip at the spout. The chrome is pitted. There is some crazing.
  2. ‘H’ Everhot Milk jug with handle and spout. Made in England. Reg No. 693001
    • No lid
    • Height 7cm (top of spout to base)
    • Width 16.5cm (spout to handle)
    • Base diameter 11cm
    • Fair used condition. The chrome is pitted. There is some crazing.
  3. ‘H’ Everhot Sugar bowl with two handles. Made in England. Reg no. 693001
    • No lid
    • Height 6.5cm
    • Width 16 cm (Handle to handle)
    • Base diameter 11cm
    • Fair used condition. The chrome is pitted. There is some crazing.

This is a contemporary advert for the patented Ever-Hot tea service by Perry, Bevan and Co. whom were based at 133 Priory Road, Aston, Birmingham. They were listed as Brass Founders in the 1940s in addition to manufacturers of Chrome wear.
