Vintage Guinness Black/ White Enamel Buttonhole Badge and Pin

Interesting and rare Vintage Guinness Black/ White Enamel Buttonhole badge and Pin.

Stamped on the back: H.W Miller,Branston St, B’ham 18 (this backstamp dates to after 1935).

Both pieces are inscribed on the face with “Guinness Is Good For You: ” a marketing slogan introduced by Guinness in the 1920s as people told the company that they felt better after drinking it. {I wonder why!}.  Eighty years later, Scientists have proven that Guinness did have health benefits, as it contains antioxidants (similar to those found in certain fruits and vegetables), which reduce the build up of cholesterol on the artery walls. See, Granny did know best!

Construction – Base Metal with Enamel surface (black/ white): finished in the shape and colour of a pint glass of Guinness.
