Vintage Sea Green Bakelite Metamec Electric Clock
This is an absolutely beautiful Vintage Sea Green Bakelite Metamec Electric Clock. It dates to approximately the 1950s.
It is electric and works off 200/250 volts, 50 cycles (Hz). It has been tested and is in working condition, although I’m not sure how good the clock is at keeping time.
The sea green/ blue clock surround and face are in good cosmetic condition. There are a few superficial scuffs and scratches, which are commensurate with age and use. The numbers are very clear and easy to read.
The ‘Metamec Electric’ clock mechanism is in a brown bakelite case. It has been rewired with modern braided wire to ensure it keeps it’s Retro look!
The maximum case diameter is ~ 20cm (8 inches): base diameter. The visible face diameter is ~ 15cm (6 inches).
The clock will be shipped without a plug.
This would be a great looking kitchen clock or perfect for a house by the sea!

Some Trivia For you!
According to Wikipedia:-
Metamec was a manufacturer of domestic clocks in the second half of the 20th century, and was based in Dereham, Norfolk, England. The name “Metamec” is derived from “metal-work and mechanics”. The company started as an offshoot of the furniture manufacturers Jentique in about 1941, which made boxes for instruments and bombs during World War II.
