Vintage industrial single green metal drawer
Vintage industrial single green metal drawer; originally used for card file index: labelled JH Veteran.
We think this small green metal card index file drawer dates from the 1940’s. Lots of alternative uses for organising and storing those small essential nick nacks!
This has been a well used drawer and there are a few blemishes and rust spots on top of the drawer (see photographs). We haven’t tried to repair or polish, as some people prefer to see the signs of age.
The whole item measures approximately:-
38cm length x 17.5cm width x 13cm height.
The internal width of the pullout drawer is ~ 16cm.
This handy small drawer can be stood on a desk, kitchen table, or placed under a bench, bed or sofa! This is a great vintage item for an office, shed, garage, greenhouse, art room, ‘man cave’ or ‘she den’. I use mine for storing sewing materials; cotton reels, sewing needles, buttons and ribbons. The ‘other half’ uses his for all his nuts, bolts and screws, which makes it quite heavy! Others use them for storing revision cards, food recipes, art paint brushes, and all sorts of other things!
For the artistic amongst us; they look great when powder coated or painted in snazzy colours!
